Featured Space Artist: Shigeru Nokura

It was an opening of what watched a star by the astronomical telescope which I made with paper at the time of primary schoolchild being interested in space. Even now that had you show Mars by an astronomical telescope of refraction of 6 centimeters of a classmate in a thing of an elementary school is red and remembers that Mars and a dusky design to sway were seen. Then interest to space more and admiration became strong. I came to go to a junior high school and I entered an astronomical observation club and came to continue astronomical observation activity.

I do not still forget a mysterious planet having a ring floating in the outer space where it is the Saturn that was impressed greatly then that watched a lot of stars by an astronomical telescope put in a school, an impression of this time.

I went to the clean mountains of starlit sky and watched a star after getting possible to purchase a big astronomical telescope by oneself afterwards and came to take it to a photograph.

Because it was a-lover that I drew a painting with interest to space simultaneously, I pictured the picture which imaged space since a junior high student well. The later space art that I described in painting with watercolors in the days of the beginning uses acrylic paints and draws it.

I exhibited my space art with it which held a heavenly bodies photograph exibition in friends and an astronomical observatory of Gifu of an astronomical observation club, an astronomical observatory of Fujihashimura, a gallery of a lot of other simultaneously.

There is art of the feature rhythm art that noon and the night change into with a light in the art that I draw. If this is bright, it is a general picture by the time, but a window of a building can try to shine it is it, and a star and a shooting star can try to shine in night scenery by a change of a light in the sky and and the sun of the setting sun shines.

It is for a heart to be healed while hearing the music that a theme of my art is quiet. The space which was a mystery and nature and scenery unified it I draw the art that I look, and a heart is settled down to.

How will you be seen if you looked at space from scenery of beautiful nature?

If a huge spaceship went down on ground, how terrible will you be?

Such expressed a dream and a dream of childhood in a picture. And I continue picturing art to send for an impression to while now harmonizing space / nature / scenery as space artist.
