Blues For Neptune

The icy surface of Triton, the largest moon in our solar system, reflects a bluish cast from Neptune some 350,000 kilometers away. The sun is depicted here as a discernable disk although the distance is over 30 Astronomical Units and the sun in reality would not appear as large as it does in this artist’s view.
