Grunsfeld and Feustel begin fifth and final spacewalk

Today at 14:20 CEST (8:20 a.m. EDT), astronauts John Grunsfeld and Andrew “Drew” Feustel began SM4’s fifth and final spacewalk.  On today’s agenda: installation of batteries, removal and replacement of one of three Fine Guidance Sensors and removal and replacement of thermal blankets (NOBL) protecting Hubble’s electronics. The last task was part of yesterday’s plan but extra time working on a STIS didn’t allow for it.
