Hubble provides complete view of Jupiter's auroras

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has captured a complete view of Jupiter's northern and southern aurorae.

Images taken in ultraviolet light by the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) show both aurorae, the oval- shaped objects in the inset photos.
