Pan across LHA 120-N150
This video pans over NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope observations of the star formation region LHA 120-N150, located over 160 000 light-years from Earth. The region is only a tiny section of the much larger Tarantula Nebula, the largest known star formation region in the Local Universe.
Astronomers have studied LHA 120-N 150 to learn more about the environment in which massive stars form. Using Hubble scientists found 39 massive objects in the structure. These objects are a mix of unclassified sources — some probably young stellar objects and others probably dust clumps.
