The Hubble images and motion pictures may on a non-exclusive basis be reproduced without fee, on the conditions outlined below.

All Hubble still and motion pictures are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported, unless the credit byline indicates otherwise.

Conditions:

ESA/Hubble must be clearly credited as the source of the image material;
ESA/Hubble materials, images an videos may not be used to state or imply the endorsement by ESA/Hubble or any ESA/Hubble employee of a commercial product, process or service;
ESA/Hubble disclaims any and all liability arising from the use of the image material. The user shall undertake to hold ESA/Hubble harmless against any and all such claims;
If an image includes an identifiable person, using that image for commercial purposes may infringe that person's right of privacy, and separate permission should be obtained from the individual;

Note that this general perrmission does not extend to use of logos found on the site (e.g. the ESA logo, ESA/Hubble's logo etc.), which shall remain protected and may not be used or reproduced without prior and individual written consent of ESA/Hubble. Owners of external websites wishing to link to spacetelescope.org web site may use ESA/Hubble's logo for the link, provided they have obtained prior authorisation from ESA/Hubble and on the condition that such use is clearly identifiable as a web link;

Also note that the music on this site is not released under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license and can generally not be used elsewhere.
